Before you can improve, you need to know where you stand. Spend the first few days recording your matches and analyzing them. Are you losing possession too easily? Do you panic under pressure? Be brutally honest. Self-review is the foundation of competitive growth.
Going competitive means building a champion’s mindset. You’ll face toxic players, unlucky rebounds, and frustrating moments. Learn to reset mentally after each match. Keep emotions in check. Play to learn, not just to win—and improvement will follow. Mindless play doesn’t help. Each session should have a goal—practicing defending, trying through balls, or perfecting set pieces. Spend at least 15 minutes daily in skill games or on custom tactics. Training smart beats grinding hard. Document your wins, ranking jumps, or even narrow losses against top players. Progress is rarely linear, but it’s always happening if you're intentional. By day 30, you’ll look back and realize: you’re no longer just playing the game—you’re competing in it.
